Red Stain/Discoloration Removal

Our discoloration removal process involves more than a simple pre-treatment and extraction process. This rarely works simply because most discolorations such as Kool-Aid, fruit punch and wine contain an FDA approved acid based dye. This dye is very similar to the acid based dye used in the manufacturing of your carpet which explains why it
is typically so hard to remove. When a spill first occurs, the dye has not gone into the fibers; it’s just ‘on’ the fibers. At this point our chance for successful removal is very high. Our process includes the application of a powdered reducing agent and a pH booster to ‘open’ the fibers. We then apply constant steam directly to the affected area for up to 15-20 minutes allowing the heat from the steam to activate the reducers, thereby effectively ‘evaporating’ the stain.
